Due to the hard work of CEO/Director Leavina Reid, Bawrunga Aboriginal Medical Services now operates a total of six clinics across the Mid North Coast and Western NSW region. These clinics are the only autonomous Indigenous health managed Medical service in Australia that incorporate a full-time, Bulk Billing Medical Centre. Leavina is passionate about GP Superclinic Coffs Harbour and aims to make it the very best in health care for you and your family.
Aunt Emily Walker is an Aboriginal Elder and official chairman of our clinic. She has been involved in many projects and is passionate about the need for affordable, accessible, and high-quality health and Medical services in the community. Aunt Emily was the driving force behind our unique logo—depicting the Smilax Australis or 'wait-a-while vine.’ The local native plant's medicinal properties and rich Aboriginal history make it the perfect symbol for the Coffs Harbour GP Superclinic.
