We are looking for general practitioners to join our team. This position is suitable for fly in, fly out arrangement as flights to major capital cities are available from Coffs Harbour Airport.

Clinical Staff

We are looking for personable nurses with outstanding customer service and a high level of initiative and enthusiasm. The ideal candidate will build connections within our clients and contribute energy in all they do. Working as part of our clinical team, our nursing staff are responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to our patients and supporting our GP's. Responsibilities:

Perform clinical duties within the required level of clinical competency according to best available evidence
Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance
Duties include triage, immunisations and other injections, wound management, chronic disease management, ECG’s and collection of pathology samples
Assist doctors with clinical procedures
Maintain clinical documentation
Oversee cold chain process, awareness, responsibilities and documentation of cold chain process
Monitor infection control standards and implement changes/educate

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

Appropriate tertiary qualification & registration
Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in a community-based role
Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice and interest in community-based nursing including patient education and health promotion
Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques

Desirable:

Competence in the use of relevant equipment & Best Practice software
Experience in similar role as a practice nurse or community-based nurse
Experience with specific social groups serviced by practice such as adolescents, aged care, migrant or refuge groups, aboriginals & Torres Straight islanders, etc
Additional qualifications such as Accredited Women’s Health Certificate, Diabetes Education Certificate, Asthma/Spirometry qualification/education, Accreditation in Immunisation

Reception/Admin Staff

The receptionist is the first point of contact for patients of the practices. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all patients, their carers', other external clients and your colleagues. Skills & Experience:

Must have experience in a similar role
The ability to work under pressure and respond to a fluctuating workflow
You will need to have excellent organisational and time management skills

Ability to use computer systems—competence required in Word and Excel and Best Practice is highly regarded.
