Men ... this stool has been tested, has yours? Early detection of bowel cancer saves lives
Bowel Cancer is one of Australia’s most common cancers. A home test or FOBT can detect blood in your stool (bowel motion) which can be a sign of early bowel cancer. Despite being at greater risk, men over the age of 50 are notoriously worse than women in taking the test. The test is simple and hygienic and can be completed in the privacy of your own home. Bowel cancer can develop with few, if any, early warning signs. Therefore it is important to think about using the test even if you do not have any symptoms. If detected early, bowel cancer is one of the most curable cancers.
