Practice Manager GP Super Clinic – General Practice
The Coffs Harbour GP Super Clinic is a significant new health service which opened in March 2014. Part of the Commonwealth’s GP Super Clinic Program. The Coffs Harbour GP Super Clinic is growing to be a busy, multidisciplinary primary health care service with a team which consists of General Practitioners, Allied Health Practitioners, support staff and a unique Urgent Care and After Hours Service.
An opportunity is now available for full time, energetic Practice Manager / Practice Nurse Manager to lead the GP Super Clinic and its team. This position would be supported by a Management Team and Board of Directors who have been working to recruit and develop the GP Super Clinic Allied Health and Diagnostic services team as well as the capital works project team.
Key Deliverables include:
- Effective and sustainable management of the GP Super Clinic team;
- Ongoing development of effective operational policies, procedures and guidelines as required;
- Ongoing Recruitment of other consultants and staff of key positions in the GP Super Clinic;
- Ongoing development and management of the GP Super Clinic.
Criteria for selection includes (but not limited to):
- Financial Management, Reporting and Budgeting
- Sound understanding of the Australian Healthcare and Medicare Systems
- Knowledge of Australian Government reporting mechanisms
- Proven supervisory skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
This role is ideally suited to a Practice Manager, Health Services Manager or Clinical Services Manager in a medical environment who is experienced in the operational management of large sites or someone from a non-medical background who is willing to step-up into this role. You will have excellent communication skills and consultative approach and the ability to work across multiple functions and with multiple stakeholders. You will have a customer service orientation and pragmatic solutions focus and will enjoy developing solid relationships with a view to adding value. A clinical background and experience is preferred.
