Andrew is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy and Australian Psychological Society. He works primarily with adolescents and adults, and has clinical experience in a variety of tertiary and community mental health settings.
Andrew is passionate about empowering his clients to improve their lives and he offers a warm and collaborative approach to counselling. To achieve this, Andrew draws upon a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and tailors his approach to suit each individual’s unique needs.
Andrew has specialist clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of a range of presenting issues including generalised anxiety, panic attacks, stress-related and adjustment disorders, depression, grief and loss, trauma recovery, bipolar disorder, substance use, and personality disorders. He also has particular interests in the application of mindfulness-based interventions, working with clients with chronic health conditions and/or persistent pain, older adults with complex needs, academic and work-related stress or burnout, and resilience training.
He has a Bachelor of Science and Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Monash University and a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Bond University. Andrew is currently completing a PhD in the area of clinical neuropsychology, investigating the Montessori approach to dementia care at Southern Cross University.
