Vicki Keenan is our new Registered Nurse and is a Gumbaynggirr woman who grew up in Campbelltown, South Western Sydney area of NSW and has just moved from Griffith where she spent two years working as a Rural Chaplain for the Salvation Army. Vicki is married with three adult children and has four beautiful grandchildren.
Vicki completed her Degree in Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Western Sydney in Campbelltown in 2008. Vicki was awarded the Puggy Hunter Scholarship while studying and was under the NSW Health Aboriginal Cadetship Program during her nursing studies.
Vicki has worked in a number of areas including Campbelltown hospital and with the Aboriginal Medical Centre – Tharawal in the Campbelltown area. She has a passion for Indigenous health and enjoys working in an area where she can build a rapport with patient and get to know them and their health conditions. Vicki has completed her Immunisation course and updates with the Australian College of Nursing and enjoys working with mums and bubs regarding their health and development.
Vicki is passionate about preventative health care and is looking forward to developing a connection with both patients and staff at the Coffs Harbour GP Super Clinic.
