Laetitia Stahlhut our Registered Nurse was born in Western Australia but grew up in Armidale NSW.
Laetitia has lived on the North Coast since 2001. In December 2007 she completed her Bachelor of Nursing.
While completing her studies she worked part-time as an undergraduate nursing cadet at Byron Bay Hospital. Her responsibilities in this role included undertaking all duties of a Registered Nurse but having a senior RN as her supervisor on each shift.
Throughout the Past nine years she has worked at the following hospitals:
- The Tweed Hospital
- Kempsey Hospital
- Byron Bay Hospital
- Mullumbimby Hospital Bellingen
- Coffs Harbour Hospital.
In 2011 she took up a position working as a practice nurse at Bawrunga Medical Service.
She is very familiar with:
- chronic disease management
- health assessments
- immunisations and
- patient care in a general practice setting.
She has since completed her Graduate certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health through Family Planning NSW which enables her to provide sexual health services such as pap smears, ante natal and post-natal checks contraceptive advice and STI checks.
She is currently enrolled at SCU in a graduate certificate in Diabetes Education and Management. This is something she is extremely passionate about having a father who suffers with T1Dm and losing her favourite aunty in 1996 due to diabetic complications.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my 4 children and soon to be husband
Laetitia has proved that her passion is definitely nursing.
